Shishu Poojan Seva:

Shishu Poojan is performed for the well-being of a child and the mother’s good health. It blesses them with strength to overcome life’s challenges. The pooja is performed by the father, who seeks blessings from Maa Saraswati for the child’s education and growth.

This pooja is an appeal to Maa Saraswati—an incarnation of Goddesses Siddhi and Buddhi— along with Lord Ganesha, and is considered highly beneficial for both the child and mother.

Rituals:

During the pooja, the father recites “Panchvakyatmak Punyahvachan,” which is the Panchopchar worship of Lord Ganesha and Lord Varuna. After that, Aarti is performed for the baby, mother, and father.

Mantra Recited:

गौरीपुत्रौ यथा स्कन्द शिशुत्वे रक्षितः पुरा तथा ममाप्युयं बालं षष्ठिके रक्ष ते नमः॥

This mantra seeks protection for the baby and prosperity in education from Lord Ganesha (Morya) and his brother Skanda.

Shishu Poojan is performed with great devotion at Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple. Devotees are encouraged to avail this seva and seek blessings for infants and their mothers.

Special Note:

If devotees are unable to visit the temple, the pooja or seva will be performed in their name on their behalf. Devotees are requested to be present at the temple 15 minutes before their allotted time.

शिशु पूजन सेवा:

दिवस: दररोज

शिशूपूजनाचा संकल्प पित्याकडून केला जातो. माता व शिशु यांना उत्तम आरोग्य लाभावे, तसेच भविष्यातील अडचणी दूर व्हाव्यात आणि शिशुला विद्या सरस्वतीची कृपा लाभावी हा संकल्प असतो.

विद्या सरस्वती म्हणजेच सिद्धी व बुद्धी यांचे अधिष्ठित देवता गणपती बाप्पा आहेत. त्यांच्या समोर शिशु पूजन करणे अत्यंत मंगल मानले जाते.

पुजनविधी:

शिशु पूजनामध्ये पंचवाक्यात्मक पुण्याहवाचन केले जाते. यात गणपती व वरुण यांची पंचोपचार पूजा केली जाते. त्यानंतर बाळ, माता व पिता यांचे औक्षण केले जाते.

या मंत्राचा अर्थ असा की गौरीपुत्र मोरया व त्यांचे बंधू स्कंद हे बाळाचे रक्षण करो व त्याच्या शिक्षणात प्रगती होवो.

विशेष सूचना:

भाविकांना मंदिरात उपस्थित राहता येत नसल्यास पूजा त्यांच्या नावाने व गोत्राने केली जाईल. कृपया इ-सेवेचा लाभ घ्यावा. तसेच दिलेल्या वेळेच्या १५ मिनिटे आधी मंदिरात उपस्थित राहावे.
